Mark in all his Pre-Vegan Glory in Las Vegas on 9/17/09

Day 2 of being a Vegan and I woke up feeling a bit groggy, but I am sure that is from the massive sleep deprivation I suffered from my trip to Las Vegas. I heard they pump oxygen into the rooms to make you sleep less and I believe it, as I was so tired but just couldn’t sleep well in the rooms even though the bed was very comfortable.

Anyways, I feel a bit lighter today but have not weighed myself. Week day mornings haven’t changed much for me as I had already recently switched from milk and cereal to slow cook oat meal with chopped nuts, apple and raisins. Quite tasty. Made myself another peanut butter sandwich as I’ll be having lunch in my office today. Tomorrow will require more thought as I have a business lunch meeting at a Sushi restaurant in Greenwood Village.

President Obama is meeting with world leaders today to discuss climate change. If the world would go Vegan we wouldn’t even need cap and trade, thanks to the reduction in greenhouse gases by cutting down on the number of livestock that emit greenhouse gases – due primarily to cow burps (not farts, as widely misunderstood).

For dinner we had spaghetti with some Boca Burgers in the sauce for protein. It was very good and frankly tasted more “meaty” than the regular sauce. The only bad news is that I ate more than I should have. Old habits die hard I suppose. We had a nice garden salad with dinner.

A very good day all in all!

  • Mark: You're very welcome and let me know what you think. I definately prefer this to the soy cheese. It is pretty strong so a little bit goes a long way

Introduction

I was a very unlikely person to become a vegan, so I wanted to share my day to day experiences as a regular guy that went vegan. Read about what I like and don't like, how I'm feeling and the many changes I've noticed. Please share your comments!
